Gulnar Mango Soap Review

Remember I did a haul from Craftsvilla in the month of June, when I got awesome offer I couldn't resist and I got all that I was longing to try from Craftsvilla. That is when I bought the Mango Soap as well. I am a Mango lover and no more reasons to tell why I wanted to try this soap.

Description

The perfect ripe mango is often held by Lord Ganesha as a symbol of attainment. We felt the same when we held this soap.

The soap is made from Real Mango Extracts, Crushed Mango Leaves, Purified Water and Glycerine Soap Base.

I found these lines in the outer packaging of the soap and wanted to share with you all
Whatever women do they must do twice as well as men to be thought half as good. Luckily, this is not difficult” - Charlotte Whitton, Mayor of Ottawa and Canadian Feminist.

Once I open the outer cover I can feel the strong mango fragrance and it is not the smell of ripe mango but the raw mango. The smell is irresistible and no doubt the soap has mango leaves and mango extracts. On one side the soap looks like a plain, transparent sandal color glycerine soap where as on the other side you can see the bits and pieces of dried mango leaves. I started rubbing it on my skin and to my horror I don’t know what but something scratched my skin. I was terrified and didn’t use it on my skin directly. Assuming the mango leaves were the ones that caused the scratches I rubbed it in my hand and then applied the soap in my hands. From then on I am not using the soap directly on my body.

Pros
  • I like the fragrance. All mango lovers will love the fragrance.
  • The soap has real mango extracts.
  • Does cleanse the skin.
  • Does not leave my skin dry.
  • Lathers well.
  • Buying this soap helps Indian artisans.

Cons
  • Available only online through Craftsvilla. I haven't seen these soaps anywhere else.
  • Harsh on the skin !!! I never rub the soap directly on my skin.
  • Melts away easily if not kept in a dry place.

Price
The price of Gulnar Mango Soap is Rs.95 for 75 gms.

Verdict
There is nothing much I like about the soap other than the smell. So I will say you can easily skip this one if you can ignore the fact that buying this soap helps Indian artisans.
