L'Occitane Cherry Blossom Solid Perfume Review

I fell in love with L'Occitane products after using their orange scrub in 2006 when I was studying in Sydney. So it is a pretty lengthy love story ♥ Since then my love for L'Occitane continued till now. Couldn't believe it has been 5 years already !! Well coming to the present life my love for the brand made me buy their Cherry Blossom Solid Perfume.

Being a perfume lover I always wanted to try the solid ones. L'Occitane's mesmerizing fragrance made me choose a solid perfume from this brand. I use a Q-tip to take the perfume and apply it on my pulse points. The fragrance is amazing - no doubt about it. I don't apply this alcohol-free perfume on my clothes but directly on my skin. The disappointing factor is that the fragrance has a very bad staying power, hardly an hour !! Might be it will stay longer if used on clothes but I don't use it that way.

Perfume Untouched..
  • It is a solid perfume that comes in a cute tin.
  • It can be slipped in your pocket easily and carried around.
  • Well-suited for emergency touch-ups.
  • Alcohol-free.
  • Lid is intact so mess-free.
  • Smells amazing. I would categorize the smell as floral.

  • Expensive.
  • I need to carry a Q-tip along as I don't like putting my finger in this to dig the perfume out.
  • The fragrance has a very bad staying power.

Though I got this from Dubai I found this in the Indian Website [Coming Soon] with a price tag of Rs.600 for 10 g. I believe it was cheaper than this in Dubai.

I would have loved it if it had a good staying power but no. I am very much disappointed. I am just consoling myself with the fragrance and for the reason it helps me for short touch-ups. You can easily skip this and try some other variant that has better staying power.

    1. Glad it helped you Sukanya :)

  5. I hate it when this happens.... Although i love all the other stuff from L'Occitane... their Pivoine Flora Petal Soap is amazing.

    1. Wow.. would love to try the soap.. thanks for sharing lovlyn :)

  6. I am the grubbiest grimiest person ever..I apply just like that :D :D No Q-tips or do you have patience for it??!! :jaiho: :jaiho: I think solid perfumes generally lack staying used as touchups of some kind.

    1. He He no no.. I put a couple of Q-tips along with this tiny tin in a small zip lock pouch and carry it in my bag. Once you get used to it, you can't go back..

Also as you said, understood that solid perfumes are for touch ups - late realization after using a couple of solid perfumes :D

    2. Hmm I should try that too..I got this teeny box of Q-tips..will post a photo some has just a few inside and is easy to carry around in the bag. I should also try it now..carrying it around. Maybe with a little getting-used to I will also be a little squeaky cleaner :D

    3. Oh please post a pic soon. I can't wait to see. You carry cute stuffs, remember the transparent coin purse? I loved it so much that I tried to find it almost through out Chennai !!! I am still looking for it :D
