Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain+Balm [Lust/Desir] Review, Swatch & LOTD

I am a big lip stain fan in spite having very dry lips most of the time. I just have a couple of them and I drool whenever I see a lip stain :p My cousin got the Revlon Lip stain for me and my happiness knew no bounds. Initially I just swatched the color on my wrist and thought it would be my best brown lip color. Read the review further to know whether i liked it or not.

Description

The Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain comes with the lip stain at one end and balm at the other end, both having respective lids. Packaging is just perfect. It is always better to apply a balm beneath any lip stain as they are a bit drying and this one is not an exception. You can build up the color as much as you want and it stays for good 5+ hours on my lips. Settles in fine lines and enhances the same. Unless you have perfectly exfoliated lips do not try these.

I went with the color chart in the website and the color Lust/Desir turned out to be a terrible brown on my lips.

Likes
  • The clever concept of a lip balm with the lip stain.
  • It works well with the lip balm.
  • Good color choice available.
  • Color is easily buildable with few swipes.
  • Color lasts long.

Dislikes
  • Makes the lips super dry if applied without the balm.
  • Settles in fine lines.
  • This particular shade Lust/Desir is horrible.
  • Not available in India.
  • Color chart in the website is misleading.

Price

The cost of Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain + Balm is $7 for 2.5 g of the stain and 1.4 g of the balm.

Swatch

Verdict

What more do I have to stay? All I like about the stain is the balm and nothing else. Complete waste of money and I am definitely not even trying any other shades as this one left me with a very bad ghostly look !!

Without Balm - Super Dry and Super Dark Lips :(

  7. I have several colors of these and if you dont use the right technique to apply them then what you experienced is what happens. Though I love these...the Revlon Kissable Balm Stains are the best out there!
