Calvin Klien Euphoria for Women EDP Review

If there is something that I would never get bored of, then it would be my perfumes. I keep trying and using different perfumes now and then. Unlike make-up I can actually empty them and that feels sooooo great and satisfactory :D You all know what I mean :p Having finished a bottle does encourage me to try one another perfume and that is my love story for now. Today I am reviewing a fragrance from CK called Euphoria.

I usually keep the boxes in which the perfume comes but some how I lost the box of this one !! There is a little story behind how I got this perfume. I got a sample and I loved the fragrance that I asked my sister to get this for me. When I tried the actual one the fragrance was so different and that is when I realized the sample was 'CK euphoria blossom' and I have some how over read 'blossom' !! and my sis got this for me saying "I very well knew this is not your kinda fragrance but still got it as you wanted it" :(

So this was a mistake but that did not stop me from using this :D As I spray this on, it smells super sweet on me initially. The sweetness subsides over time and mixes with woody musk notes. However it is very light and so is the lasting power of this fragrance. This is one fragrance which I find is very difficult to describe as it has a great blend of too many notes -fruity, floral, creamy, musky, sweet, oriental, etc. Not to confuse you any more here are the notes.

Top - Pomegranate, Persimmon, "Lush Green Accord"
Middle - Lotus Blossom, Champaca Flower, Black Orchid
Base - Liquid Amber, Black Violet, Cream Accord, Mahogany Wood

  • Packaging - I like the shape and color of this perfume.
  • The top pomegranate note opens up as a very sweet fragrance. It is kind of syrupy too.
  • Easily available - online too.
  • Euphoria has a couple of other variants like blossom, forbidden, etc
  • A very light fragrance.

  • Does not last long for an EDP.
  • The sweetness might be a bit too much for sensitive nose.
  • Like many even I prefer Euphoria Blossom which has more clear notes than this Euphoria.

The cost of Calvin Klien Euphoria for Women EDP is Rs.4800 for 100 ml. However there are so many online stores offering up to 40% off and you get this for as less as Rs.3000 !!

I wouldn't say this is a must-have fragrance unless you love sweetness [syrupy and not fresh] in your perfumes. I have seen men loving this fragrance on women than women themselves. Again perfumes are ones personal choice, so try it at the stores, roam around in the mall for a while until you can smell the base notes and then decide whether to buy or not to buy.
