Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter [Berry Smoothie] Review, Swatch and LOTD

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters were on my wishlist even before they were launched in India. I was dying to try these and once they were launched I got soooooooooooooo busy that I became rest less until I laid my hands on these. I was talking to everybody about this lip butter and had 5 shades in my mind when I reached the stores. Unfortunately few colors didn't suit me and one shade was not available :( Finally I just got two and you can see the Haul HERE

Description

The formula of these lip butters are super buttery and just glides easily even on the most dry lips. Along with moisturizing the lips it also adds some color and eliminates the need of any lipstick. Being in the form of a balm the staying power is very poor and that was very much expected. If you prefer long lasting lip colors then you can just walk past this. For the quantity given and imagine I reapply every now and then I can finish this within a month !! Some thing I really love about these are the color coded packaging that matches the color of the lip butter inside. Berry Smoothie is a very very very pretty baby pink color with little shimmers.

Likes
  • Moisturizes my dry lips.
  • Pretty packaging with different colored lids that matches the lip butter inside.
  • It leaves a very pretty color that stays until the balm stays on your lips.
  • The shade Berry Smoothie is a very pretty pink with shimmers.
  • The shimmers are not very obvious until you stand directly under the light.
  • Color is buildable.
  • Totally available in 15 different shades.

Can you see the shimmers?

Dislikes
  • For the staying power the price is a bit too much.
  • These are just medium coverage lip colors. I am fine with it but might be a con for a few of you. Does not cover pigmented lips.

Swatch
Price

The cost of Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter is Rs.600 for 2.55g.

Verdict

I personally like these lip butters but remember I am always a lip gloss person so I do not expect much pigmention but if you expect deep colors for your lips then this might not be your choice. All you can expect is a lip balm with pretty colors and nothing much. I might buy 1 or 2 more just for the moisturizing effect and colors, however I wish the price was Rs.500 and I would have given a 5/5 :p

  5. I am not a gloss fan.Even I wanted these so badly.A pink one and an orange one.But they r over priced and I can't bring myself to buy even 1 for the low pigmentation and less amount!I won't pay 600 for a lip balm I will finish in 2 weeks :\

    1. Haaa Reks.. Guess they have a couple of them.. Actually most of the shades are v sheer n thus will suit for daily use.. Don't buy online.. Do try the shades n the formula in the stores n then buy them coz only 50% of d crowd likes it

  8. I always get confused with berry smoothie, peach parfait, pink truffle, sweet tart and sugar plum.... :( i own lollipop, raspberry and cherry tart, but find them dark to wear for any occasion.. But they are well pigmented bit i get that heavy feeling on my lips and one swipe doesn't give a even application so, layering isn't good with this.. Dry lips won't like these
