Sephora Smoothing Primer Review

I don't like too much layering of make up and thus never ever wanted to try any primers at all. Some random article triggered me to try one, just for fun types and I decided to get one during my trip to Dubai last year. I wanted MUFE but they didn't have stock, so I got the Sephora one by blindly listening to the SA at Sephora. She handed me this tiny little transparent bottle that was so cute to say a 'No' :p

Description

I just stay away from the word 'matte' be it lipsticks, foundations or just any thing I love the gloss or shine always. Only after I reached home I noticed this one is a smoothing and mattifying primer. I never felt like using it from then on until one of my friend mentioned that the primer is really good. It is in the form of a gel and it does make the skin smooth. It mattifies the skin too. A good base for my makeup that makes the makeup stay fresh for as long as 6 hours based on the climate. Comes in a convenient pump dispenser that I love.

Likes
  • Convenient packaging with pump dispenser.
  • Primer is in gel form and it is easy to blend too.
  • Leaves a smooth and matte skin as a perfect base for make up.
  • Best for combination-oily skin.
  • Makes the make up stay fresh for longer time.
  • A very little amount would do all the magic.

Dislikes
  • Availability is the only problem :(

Smooth and Matte Skin [Hope you can spot the difference]

Price

The cost of Sephora Smoothing Primer is $18 for 15 ml. I am sure this would last long and hence don't think about the price.

Verdict

The only primer I have tried so far and I am very much satisfied with its effect. Though I do not need this very often I use it whenever I have to stay with make up for a long time. I am completely satisfied with my first primer.
