Forest Essentials Indian Rose Absolute Hair Cleanser and Hair Conditioner Review

Here comes the next review of the products from Forest Essentials Travel Kit - the Indian Rose Absolute Hair Cleanser and Conditioner. Most of the products in the kit are from the same Rose Absolute Range and I got used to the fragrance now which was a bit disturbing and strong initially. The Shampoo and Conditioner is the best part of the kit as most of the travel kits do not include hair care. I feel the presence of these 2 products makes the kit complete.

Description

The cleanser is a chocolat-ey colored liquid that claims to be 'shine enhancing' and it does a little bit of it.  It cleanses my hair really well with only little foaming though. It didn't do anything extra ordinary and I don't complain as it doesn't claim anything big too. The conditioner while used with this cleanser works best, or rather I would say they work their best when used together. The conditioner claims to restore glow and add shine and it does both to an extent. Well, my hair doesn't have any glow to restore ! but it does add a bit of shine to my otherwise frizzy hair. The consistency is not too thick but not very flowy too.

Ingredients list is interesting.. Isn't it?

Likes
  • The combo adds shine to my hair.
  • Hair becomes less frizzy.
  • Cleanses and conditions well.
  • Travel friendly - no leakage at all.
  • These lasts me for at least 7-8 washes for my (just-below) shoulder length (not so dense) hair.
  • The fragrance lasts for one full day.
  • Interesting Ingredients list.

Dislikes
  • The cleanser doesn't lather much, not a con for me though.
  • Smell is a bit too strong initially and also I don't like the fragrance of rose much !

Price

The cost Forest Essentials Indian Rose Absolute Hair Cleanser is Rs.680 for 200 ml.
The cost Forest Essentials Indian Rose Absolute Hair Conditioner is Rs.680 for 200 ml.

Verdict

When I visited the store I saw these cute little bottles arranged together which can be picked up and we can customize our own travel kit ! I loved the idea and I guess each bottle costs Rs.250. They had hair oil, cleansers, conditioners, body wash, soaps, body lotion and all of them in travel size and I am soon going to make my very own travel kit.

The Rose Absolute Shampoo and Conditioner is good for travel where in all you expect is a clean and conditioned hair and nothing else. It doesn't damage your hair nor does it do any miracles. However the fragrance is not of my kind so I am planning to try the tiny version of the other variants available - wise way to judge a product ! Must-have in your travel kit but not as full sized bottles.
