NYX Rouge Cream Blush 'Hot Pink' and 'Glow' - A Comparison

As I already mentioned the NYX Rouge Cream Blushes are my current favorite and I think any dry skinned girl will love this for the glow it imparts. A couple of you had mailed me to do a comparison post of these blushes as you wanted to see the colors side by side and then decide which one would suit you the best. I will try my level best to help you out by this post.

Texture / Formula wise both the blushes are almost the same. I have heard that cream blushes are a bit tricky to work with initially. However, with practice I don't think it will be difficult. I am sure these blushes will suit dry, normal and combination skin but if you have combination skin you better try them first ! Girls with oily skin please excuse - this is not at all for you !

Comparison
  • 'Hot Pink' explains itself by the name - a pure hot pink shade where as 'Glow' is a subtle baby pink shade with brown undertones and it is not as bright as it looks in the pan.
  • 'Hot Pink' is shade that should be worn with a light hand else you might look like a clown and I did that mistake already before I learnt how to use the color.
  • 'Hot Pink' is a shade that would suit almost all skin tones and Glow too but 'Glow' would show the color better on fair skin whereas it just leaves a glow on my NC 44 skin tone !
  • For me both the shades are named aptly !
  • If you are medium-dusky skin tone and you expect some color then better you skip the shade 'Glow'. Since I am not too specific about the color I use 'Glow' to highlight my cheek bones and it works equally good.
  • I had to build up the color of 'Glow' to show up on my cheeks but usually I end up messing it completely :( So I just kept it for highlighting purpose.

In Simple

Buy Glow - If you are fair and/or you don't need much color but just a shiny cheek.
Buy Hot Pink - If you like a flush of color on your cheek with added shine.

Hope the post helps :)
