Crazy Clicks - Decorative Lamp

When ever I see pretty things I just feel like taking pics. Recently I got so addicted to Instagram and you must try it to feel the fun. Last Diwali mom gifted me this pretty multi-purpose lamp that decorated a corner of my house all these days. Now I have kept the lamp in my pooja and it adds so much beauty to the entire room. The golden color goes well with my pooja room's theme as all frames are in gold color and thus the color gets highlighted on a dark brown back ground.

This lamp was hand made by kids in an orphanage. The kids paint and decorate so many pretty lamps of this sort during the time of Diwali and sell them. With the money they earn they support themselves ! I was so touched when mom told me this. She promised me to take me there for next Diwali.

The real beauty shows when I actually light the lamp. I did take a couple of pics of that to share it with all of you. Next time I am planning to buy like 2 dozens of these lamps and distribute it to all friends and relatives along with the Diwali sweets.

Can you see how pretty it looks? Trust me it looks 10 times better directly.

So do you collect such lamps too? How do you use it - as a decorative piece or as a lamp in your pooja?
