Lip Scrub for Dry Chapped Lips : DIY

I have really dry and chapped lips all year around and winters makes my lips even worse. Though I kept complaining about this I never took it seriously and never tried any remedy! Once I started using this amazing lip balm from Forest Essentials [Reviewed Here] I could see the texture of my lips improve and from then on I started taking extra care of my lips. In addition to using this lip balm I am using a lip scrub during the weekends and that does wonders. Today I am sharing the simple diy lip scrub that I am loving these days.

Lip Scrub for Dry Chapped Lips

What do you need to make this scrub?

As always this is another scrub you can make with some basic ingredients in your kitchen !
  • Sugar - 1 tbsp
  • Honey - 1/2 tbsp
  • Olive Oil - 1/2 tbsp
  • A dry and clean bowl and a spoon.

How to make this scrub?

1.Take a clean, dry bowl and a spoon.
2.Take 1 tbsp of sugar. You can even use brown sugar.
3.Add 1/2 tbsp of honey to this sugar. This would be a thick paste and to loosen this paste a bit we go to the next step.
4.Add 1/2 tbsp of Olive Oil or Coconut Oil or Almond Oil. I have used Extra Virgin Olive Oil here. This would make a scrub a bit loose and easy to apply.

Mix all the ingredients together. Take the mixture and apply it on your lips. Massage with a light hand for 5 mins and leave it on your lips for 10 more minutes. Scrubbing makes the dry dead skin to wither and fall off. Leaving the scrub on the lips will moisturize the lips well. After 10 minutes just wipe your lips with a tissue or towel.

Benefits
  • Removes all the dead and dry skin from the lips.
  • Honey and Oil moisturizes my lips for a really long time.
  • Using this scrub twice a week and so far for 4-6 times have improved my lips a lot.
  • Lips feel really soft.
  • Keeps dryness at bay !
  • Easy to make and easy to use scrub. You can add some essential oils and food color if you like to see some color and fragrance in the scrub.

This scrub is super easy to make and use. This has brought in a lot of improvement in my lips and my lips will soon be ready for those dry and super matte lipsticks, which I thought I would never ever try on my lips :)

Pamper your skin/lips this weekend.
