L'Oreal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss Peach Pleasure : Photos, Review, Swatch & LOTD

I never tried any lip stains or balms that were launched recently by so many brands out of which Revlon tempted me a lot ! Finally when L'oreal launched them I couldn't resist myself and the name 'balmy gloss' was more tempting as I have really dry lips ! I didn't get time to go out for shopping, so I randomly ordered a shade 'Peach Pleasure' online. I expected it to be a peachy or pinky peach color. Read on to know how the shade turned out to be and if the gloss is good or bad !

L'Oreal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss - Peach Pleasure

The L'Oreal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss is named so aptly that it is a great combination of a lip balm and a gloss and nothing more than that ! Don't expect some super pigmented lip stain seeing the packaging, however girls with non-pigmented lips might not complain. The packaging is quite similar to other lip stains available in the market. You can twist the base to get more product and it is retractable too. The balmy gloss transfers as a sheer color on my lips which doesn't cover my lip pigmentation. Also this has some glitters which is not very obvious on my lips. The shade Peach Pleasure is a lavender pink shade and that was a bit disappointing for me as I had expected a peach shade. It stays on my lips for 2 hours and does not dry my lips at all.

  • It is a combination of a balm and a gloss as the name suggests.
  • It comes in a retractable pen form.
  • Easy to use and travel-friendly too.
  • It does not leave my lips dry.
  • Gives a subtle sheen due to the glitters present in it.
  • Easily available.
  • Price tag is much lesser than the other lip stains available in the market.

  • The shade is not named aptly, so don't go by shade names. Try them before you buy them.
  • The balmy gloss goes on sheer on my lips and thus does not cover my pigmentation.
  • Need multiple swipes for the color to show.
  • Does not stay on my lips for more than 2 hours :(

Something that I love about this balmy gloss is that it is much cheaper when compared to the other expensive ones launched previously in the market. Also, this leaves my lips super soft and supple and never ever dry. Though I am disappointed with the color/shade and pigmentation I am glad it didn't do any harm. Might be if I had chosen a bright shade I would have been a little more happy :p I might wear these might be on a casual day when I just need a little color and shine on my lips.
