Face Scrub for a Younger Skin : DIY

So far all the DIYs I shared have been used by me for years together where as the one I will be sharing today is a recent addiction. I have been using this scrub for the past couple of months and having seen some great change in my skin I thought I should share it with you all girls here. As with all my DIYs, this one is pretty simple too but the difference it shows on your skin is enormous ! I use this scrub once a week and sometimes even twice a week. As I started with this I inclined more towards scrubbing my face regularly !

Face Scrub For a Younger Skin

What do you need to make this scrub?

As with most of my DIY scrubs, all you need is some basic ingredients from your kitchen.
  • Salt - 2 tbsp
  • Olive Oil - 1/4 tbsp
  • Tomato - Half
  • A dry, clean spoon and a bowl.

How to make this scrub?

1. Take a clean and dry bowl and add the salt to it.

2. Add few drops of olive oil to the salt. Don't add too much and let the paste be very thick as we will be adding tomato which will loosen the scrub. [I added too much oil by mistake :p]

3. Smash the tomato and add it to the salt and oil mixture or just blend it in a blender and add the paste to the mixture.

4. Mix all the ingredients together well. If you made more than the desired amount you can always store this mixture for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator. Shown in the pic above [1st pic].

Take a little amount of the scrub and pat in gently all over the face and neck. Scrub it gently in circular and upward movement. You can do this once or twice a week for a radiant and younger looking skin. This scrub suits all skin types and if you have really oily skin you can cleanse your face with a mild cleanser after using this scrub to get rid of the oil in the scrub.

Benefits
  • It leaves a radiant and glowing skin.
  • After scrubbing you can leave this as a pack for few minutes and over regular usage it lightens skin naturally.
  • Reduces tan and sunburn.
  • Reduces acne scars.
  • Tomato claims to reduce large pores !
  • Improves skin elasticity.

Hope you use this mask regularly and see benefits instantly !

  3. Seems like a nice DIY scrub, though I am not sure about the salt part, as it make react on the fresh acne..So can I add granulated sugar instead just to be on a safer side?
