Forest Essentials Mashobra Honey & Vanilla Hair Cleanser : Photos, Review, Swatch

I always used a mild shampoo for my hair and a conditioner that comes along until I started straightening my hair ! After which I blindly followed the salon's advice and used the shampoo and conditioners given by them. I did maintain my hair well in spite of harsh chemical treatments by going to regular spa sessions. It stuck me really late that I have to save my hair from all chemicals and thus stopped straightening my hair last year. Given my hair a break, it looks really pathetic and I was left confused on what to use for my hair. Forest Essentials hair oil [Reviewed HERE] came to my rescue then and the faith gained on the brand made me give their hair cleansers and conditioners a try.

Forest Essentials Mashobra Honey & Vanilla Hair Cleanser

Description

I already tried the hair cleanser and conditioner from Forest Essential's Rose Absolute range [Reviewed HERE] and the fragrance was unbearable for me. I was frustrated by the time I finished the bottles and never dared to get them again just for the strong fragrance. Then I visited the FE store to buy the full sized bottle of the hair oil and the SA helped me to choose the right cleanser and conditioner for my hair. That is how I came to know about the Mashobra Honey & Vanilla range of products.

The fragrance of this honey colored hair cleanser is strong too but I love the fragrance so much. It smells like fresh vanilla and it stays in my hair for 4-5 hours after I wash my hair. I oil my hair every time before I wash my hair and since this one is a mild cleanser that doesn't lather much I need a little more amount every time. I have been using FE Hair Cleansers for quite some time, so I am used to this 'not-so-much-lathering' fact and it doesn't bother me at all. I have thin mid-length hair and have been using this thrice a week for the the past couple of months. I am glad still half of the bottle is left and each bottle would last me for 3 months easily. It cleanses my hair well and when used with the oil it controlled my hair fall too. Don't know which product helped me but credits goes to the brand.

Since my hair is really damaged I need better treatments or products for my hair in the long run. This product has done a good job so far, however I see people complaining that it does not cleanse properly when your hair is heavily oiled !

  • Cleanses the hair really well.
  • Removes oil from my hair completely even when I heavily oil my hair.

Worth A Mention
  • Girls with thick hair / lengthy hair might finish this bottle in just 1 month.
  • If you want you hair cleansers to lather well then you might be disappointed with this one.

Dislikes
  • I expected this to control frizziness and the SA assured the same but it didn't help !

Verdict

I really like this mild hair cleanser which cleans my hair thoroughly leaving a soft and manageable hair behind. Though it is mild, with a little more product it removes every bit of oil from my heavily oiled hair !! I am glad it worked for me in this aspect. If you have thick / lengthy hair then I suggest you try the travel-sized bottle of this cleanser first, to see if you like it. I am hunting for something that would control my frizzy hair and at the same time something that deals with the hair damage. Until I find it, this mild cleanser would be a favorite in my hair care routine.

When I oil my hair I go for shamppos that lather, otherwise it is just too much work getting it all off!
