Birthday Cakes - Setting a New Trend !

I am not a baker but a foodie and the credits goes to my friends who has this amazing taste for food. Regarding cakes, it is again my friend Priya who introduced me to these amazing concept of designer birthday cakes. She took the responsibility for helping me out in Neya's first birthday preparations and she played a major role in organizing everything. From then I go with a theme and I get the cake done as per the theme. I shall share the pictures of all my daughter's birthday cakes so far in today's post.

My daughter's 1st Birthday Cake

This was Neya's first birthday cake. I so loved the cake which weighed 7 kgs and hats off to the baker who made it so perfect. I was so happy with the flavor and the design as well :)

For her 2nd birthday Neya was able to tell what she wanted in her cakes and it was 'Angry Birds' ! The baker who did her 1st birthday cake was really busy and I couldn't get in touch with her. Though I was very disappointed I was super glad to find 'Lil Delights' who made Neya's 2nd and 3rd birthday cakes.

My daughter's 2nd Birthday Cake

For her 3rd birthday which was early this month, she chose 'Little Krishna' as the theme where she wanted Mother Yashodha, Balram, a cow and a calf in the cake ! Sangeetha who is the owner of Lil Delights did understand my requirements so well and came up with this amazing cake for my daughter's 3rd birthday.

My daughter's 3rd Birthday Cake

I so love these theme based designer cakes as it makes every birthday very interesting for my daughter and us too ! My daughter is already ready with a theme for her next birthday, which is 'Chota Bheem' !

Me being so addicted to these designer cakes, I have planned to order such cakes for our anniversary and birthdays too. Do you like such cakes? Do you find them interesting as well?

  1. I loved the peacock and Krishna ones. Ive got Lightening McQueen (Disney Cars), Power Rangers, Chota Bheem etc made for my boys but the best one till date has been a cricket stadium with players on the pitch, team logos all around and bat, ball stumps on the edge for my son's IPL themed party.

    1. Wowww that sounds really huge ! Anything with a play ground / pool would look really huge na? Though all these cost a bomb the smile on the lil one's face when they see the cake compensates for everything na Dollie?

    2. I agree. This was a 7kg cake coz I had 50-60 kids + adults. When I told hubby the price of the cake he was like, is it made of gold...lol. And all the kids went wow, when they saw it :)
I LOVE the peacock cake. Wish I had a daughter, can't make a peacock cake for boys.
