The Balm Frat Boy Shadow/Blush : Photos, Review, Swatch

As much as I wanted to try the Benefit blushers I was really curious about The Balm blushers too ! Since I do not have easy access to these I just added it to my wishlist and almost forgot about it. Then I saw a giveaway at My Vanity Treasures - a sweet blog by this awesome lady called Parita and I saw that the winner would get the amazing Frat Boy blush :D I didn't hesitate even for a minute and I had to participate. In less than a month I got the sweet news that I won the giveaway !  I was jumping with joy ... literally ;)

The Balm Frat Boy Shadow/Blush

Description

Until I got the blush in my hand I never knew it can be used as an eye shadow as well ! It was a sweet surprise and on my lids it goes well as an everyday lid color. I mostly use this as a blush only and I love how fine the powder is. In spite of being so fine and soft, the blush is super pigmented ! When I swatched it I didn't realize how pigmented it is ! Assuming it to be a very light color I applied a generous amount and ended up looking like a clown. So I was extra cautious and took only the required amount after that. The blush looked really pretty and I have to mention that it blends like a dream. The shade shows as a warm coral on me and I guess it would look more pink on lighter skin tones. This is my everyday blush these days and I am loving it to bits :)

  • The packaging comes with a magnetic lid and a mirror. It makes it very chic and lovely.
  • The shade is a pretty coral-pink shade that shows as a warm coral on me.
  • No shimmer or glitters and yet I love it !
  • Super - pigmented, that you need only a little amount every time.
  • It blends in no time.
  • Stays for 6 hours on me easily.
  • This shade would suit most skin tones and all skin types.

Worth A Mention
  • Since it is really pigmented you have to be very careful and light-handed while using this.

Verdict

I absolutely love this blush and I just love the fact that it is super easy to blend this blush. If you are a blush lover and if you need a shade for every day wear which can double up as an eye shadow as well, then you can close your eyes and buy this one. You can easily build up the color, so start with a light hand and build up the color slowly until you get the desired amount of pigmentation. I am so Thankful to Pari for introducing me to this amazing brand !
