Forest Essentials Facial Treatment Masque - Madhulika : Photos, Review, Swatch

I am not a person who uses masks often but whenever I feel my skin needs some pampering I go looking out for them. Unfortunately, masks from Forest Essentials, Auravedic and Lush have only made it to my favourites list and all these have to be used up as soon I open it for the first time ! I am too lazy for this regular pampering but I am so convinced with the after effects while using a mask. So I decided to be not-so-lazy any more and use these masks often. For now it is this sample sized mask from Forest Essentials that took up the job of pampering my skin :)

Forest Essentials Facial Treatment Masque - Madhulika

Description

The full size version of this masque is sold as the Madhulika Nourishing Honey Lep. The masque comes as a thick sticky honey coloured paste. It is a ready to use face mask and thus becomes so convenient for me to use this. I really don't take those extra efforts of adding and mixing stuff to make a mask. It contains honey and you can feel the stickiness while taking the mask out of the container. It makes it quite difficult and messy to apply it on dry skin. I spread it evenly all over my face and neck and leave it for 20 minutes to dry. Later, I just wash my face with water and taking it off is not really a task. The mask comes off easily.

Once I remove the mask I can feel my skin more hydrated and supple. It even removes tan instantly and I love how it makes my skin super loveable. This would be a great mask for dry-normal skin and a great friend during winters ! High possibilities of me purchasing the full sized bottle.

Dislikes
  • The mask is thick and sticky and that makes application difficult and messy.
  • You HAVE to finish the 50 g tub in 6 months time.
  • It is hygienic to use a spatula to take the product out and thus make it last longer.

Verdict

The consistency of the mask might not be the best to use but the formula definitely scores full points from me. This would be my HG mask for winters and having said that it doesn't mean I wouldn't use it during summer time because it removes tan too. My skin would still need the hydration and pampering that this mask provides. I highly recommend you to try this mask, especially if you have dry, dry-normal, normal skin.
