L'Oreal Paris Shine Caresse Lip Gloss Juliet : Photos, Review, Swatch & LOTD

Here is the first shade review of the L'Oreal Shine Caresse Lip Gloss out of the three shades I got. As per request I am reviewing the shade Juliet today. I had almost stopped buying glosses (with a heavy heart) as I felt I have too many to use up and my sister got this pretty trio lip gloss that was a travel collection. My happiness knew no bounds, because it is all I wanted then and it came to me at the right time. I started using them without any guilt as we always do with surprise gifts ;)

This review was requested by Niesha Jeenwal :)

L'Oreal Paris Shine Caresse Lip Gloss Juliet

I love how the gloss comes in a royal gold packaging with a little space for you to see the actual color of the gloss. As per the claim the gloss has 30% water inside and it is supposed to feel as light as water ! I didn't trust them actually but they put me to shame ! Yes, the gloss feels super light on my lips and I apply two full coats for the color to show on my pigmented lips. As I apply the gloss it feels like chilled water being swiped on my lips. Initially the color looks really light but in the next few seconds after application the color intensifies. So you have to wait for at least 30 seconds and then apply a second coat if necessary. The applicator is flexible and soft that it feels like a feather !

The shade 'Juliet' is a blood red shade that looks super gorgeous even on my pigmented lips. I just swiped it on my lips once and since the color was very light initially I went ahead with another coat and within seconds I see this super bold red shade on my lips. However the shade is not opaque [common it is only a gloss] to cover my pigmentation completely but it does a great job in terms of coverage in spite of being a gloss.

This particular shade [might be because it is a bright shade] stays for almost 8 hours on me ! It does fade a bit after say 5 hours or so but evenly. The stain it leaves behind stays until I wipe it off or only if I have a meal in between.

L'Oreal Paris Shine Caresse Lip Gloss Juliet

  • The packaging is royal and stylish.
  • Easy to spot the shade.
  • Applicator is super soft and flexible - best ever !
  • The shade is super pigmented.
  • One swipe -> wait -> color intensifies to an opaque finish.
  • The shade 'Juliet' is a must-have for red lovers.
  • Feels very light just like water.
  • Does not dry my lips even a bit.
  • The shine and the shade stays for 8 hours on me !!

  • Inititally the gloss is super light, however after a while I can feel little stickiness. I really do not mind as it is very minimal for such an amazing staying power !

L'Oreal Paris Shine Caresse Lip Gloss Juliet - LOTD

I am just stunned looking at the formula, pigmentation, applicator, packaging - just everything about this gloss. The quality of these are definitely comparable to the gloss made by some high end brands like Chanel. A gloss that feels so light yet so pigmented and something that lasts forever !! I never thought I will ever come across such an amazing quality for an affordable price. You must try one shade from this collection and 'Juliet' is a must-have in every red lovers collection. I highly recommend this L'Oreal Shine Caresse gloss which is one of the BEST I have tried so far.
