Chanel Le Crayon Yeux Precision Eye Definer 68 Khaki Dore : Photos, Review, Swatch & EOTD

I really love olives/khakis for my eyes and the more I love them, the more they are a challenge to make that shade work on my lids ! Either it refuses to show on my lids or I end up blank not knowing how to make the color work for me and justify my purchase. Today I am sharing one such gorgeous shade of eye color from Chanel. It is an olive / khaki green eye pencil and aptly named as Khaki Dore. Also, you can see me struggling with similar gorgeous shades here, here and here !!

Chanel Eye Definer 68 Khaki Dore

More than anything my trust in the brand and the formula of this eye pencil made me buy this eye definer / eye pencil. Remembering the fact that this eye pencil is really expensive I got too tempted to try this one. The pencil is super creamy and it feels like I am applying fresh olive colored cream on my lids. Before it sets, it is quite easy to blend it on my eyes too. I use a separate brush to blend the shade and not the one that comes with the pencil. I feel it is a bit hard on my lids. The shade Khaki Dore is a golden olive shade [predominanty golden] and it refuses to show on my lids when I use it as a full lid color. Even when I line my eyes with this it shows better outdoors compared to how dull it looks indoors !!

Since I am yet to learn the trick and make this work for me, I am using this to line my eyes, some times lower lash line and it looks gorgeous that way. The shade just pops up and adds a little glam to the eyes when used this way as it looks more gold than green.

Chanel Eye Definer 68 Khaki Dore - The Brush

  • The pencil is really creamy that it glides on my lids as if it is real cream !
  • The pigmentation is very good that all I need is just one swipe.
  • The pencil comes with a sharpener and a brush too.
  • The shade Khaki Dore is a pretty golden khaki/ golden olive shade.
  • Easy to smudge and spread soon after application.
  • Once set it does not budge.

  • The shade is very difficult to work with, especially to make the green show better I am trying all ways possible !
  • Very expensive for an eye liner !!!

Chanel Eye Definer 68 Khaki Dore - EOTD

I really love this eye pencil and I so wish I had the talent to make the shade work on my eyes. Though I am loving the formula and everything, I feel it is so expensive for an eye pencil that I could better spend so much on a lipstick or a blush or even a gloss. Since this shade is dupable I think we have a lot of cheaper options too ! If you spot an unique shade then you can try your hands on this product which is truly a luxury.
