My Little Library : Sneak Peek

It just clicked in my mind when Dollie of Indian Shringar posted her collection of books and novels in facebook and asked if we would like to see a post on her collection - genre wise or author wise. The idea excited me and even I wanted to do a similar post here to show all my readers a little of my books I have collected so far. I have another set at my mom's place, however these are my most favorite ones :) Hope you like the little collection.

My Little Library

The pic above shows the set of books I bought recently and it rekindled my long lost passion - reading ! So this takes a special place very close to my bed. I flip through the pages now and then as I totally enjoy reading the books by Preeti Shenoy !

Then comes another set of books kept aside in a separate space. These are all the books I have read already and might read again and again whenever I feel like. Most of the books, especially the ones by Chetan Bhagat would never bore me.

Another favorite author during my college days was Dan Brown. Everybody in the family were crazy reading his books again and again back then ! It has been years since I ever touched The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons.

If I have to pick just one favorite book out of all I have, then it would always be 'The Love Story' by Erich Segal. I totally love love love this book and so far the only book that made me cry !

A very interesting book and a very different one in my collection is 'Many Lives Many Masters'. It is basically about the life after death !! Nothing spiritual but just a compilation done by a psychiatrist on his experiments with different people trying to find about their past and previous birth. Interesting huh? You will get lost reading it !

These are the few that I had to mention.

I do have another set of books that I am yet to read and here are they,

My Little Library

Here are the ones in my shopping list
  • The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty
  • Man, Woman and Child by Erich Segal
  • Doctors by Erich Segal
  • Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella
  • Can Love Happen Twice by Ravinder Singh
  • I Too Had a Love Story by Ravinder Singh

I do not stick on to any genre so your suggestions are welcome. Help me build my library :)

Happy Reading :)

  3. Malgudi days = Love forever <3 you cried only in The Love Story? :O No crying in PS I love you? (I love PS I Love you, but I am yet to read The Love Story). Btw, I have participated in the Brunch Book Challenge where I'll be reading atleast 24 books in 2014, I keep updating about every book that I read as a part of this on the blog. From what I have read so far, I would recommend Interpreter of Maladies, City of Djinns, A Fine Family (though you can check what I think about these on the blog). I would also recommend 'Nobody can love you more' by Mayank Austen Soofi, which I haven't read till now but I think would be an interesting read. It is about touching the day-to-day lives of Delhi's red light area.

  4. This is a nice post aarthi, i love books and cant pass a day without reading. i have read most of the books in your collection. I love sophie kinsella , all her books are hilarious. Few of my favs are remember me ? and the undomestic goddess. Sophie kinsella is a pen name, her books with her real name madeline wickham are really gripping. Drama at its best. You should totally try candace bunshell as well from the famous SATC. Her less famous books are really good as well. i have mixed feelings towards james patterson, his endings are hopeless otherwise is a great writer as well. Happy reading !!! xxx
