Being a foodie and having taken a couple of days off for myself, the Dunkin' Donuts Culinary Experimental Workshop invite reached me at the right time. I was more than happy to attend the event which was scheduled for 22nd May, a day before the store was open to public. I haven't tried Dunkin' Donuts before so I attended the event without any expectations set in my mind. Do scroll down for pictures and details about the event.

I thought Dunkin' Donuts offers only doughnuts and some drinks but then the CEO of Dunkin Donuts Mr.Dev Amritesh along with their chef and beverage expert explained they have everything right from doughnuts, ice teas, coffees, wraps and burgers too. We were offered a lot of their burgers and drinks to taste and I finished my lunch there at the event ;) The event went from 12 PM -2 PM and they wonderfully explained the concept behind their brand.
Mr.Dev explained how they target young adults between 22-35 yrs of age and they believe staying away from too much perfection. That flawed thinking makes Dunkin' Donuts fall somewhere in between the Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) and Gourmet restaurants. I pretty much liked the concept and that gives me a sense of comfortable casual dining whenever I step in to Dunkin' Donuts :)
Here is all what we got to try..
The Naughty Lucy Burger
Not So Wicked Wrap
Spiked Iced Tea
Brute Tough Guy Burger
Crunchy Joe Chicken Burger
Dunkaccino - Jamaican Rum & Almonds
Chefs and Bloggers :)
I had to mention that all burgers were available both in veg and non-veg (chicken) variants too. So vegetarians need not be disappointed. My favorite out of all that I tried was the Spiked Iced Tea (it has 5 spices as shown in the pic above and the flavor was just amazing). I loved the Crunchy Joe Burger (everything was crunchy including the bun itself) and the Dunkaccino. I so want to try the chocolate flavor in the Dunkaccino now !
Some pics from my instagram,
All who were invited for the event got a bag of goodies - a coffee mug along with voucher for free doughnuts for 365 days when you buy something for Rs.49 and above. The same was given for the first 500 customers the very next day too. We even got a box of doughnuts and you can see them all in my instagram pic below.
I really enjoyed attending the event. Trying so many varieties of coffee, burgers and doughnuts, and meeting co-bloggers was so much fun too. Their pricing was quite reasonable and I am sure I would go back to Dunkin' Donuts again and again :)
Dunkin' Donuts is located at the lower ground floor at Phoenix Market City, Velachery, Chennai. Go check it out !
