Eucerin Aquaphor Healing Ointment : Photos, Review, Swatch

I have really dry skin that worsens during winters and not to mention about my extremely dry feet that cracks often. Heavy moisturisers have been helping my super dry feet, only if applied more than once a day. These days my skin care routine has taken a back seat and I was in the hunt for some crack cream that would lessen my work yet be effective. A friend recommended me to try the Eucerin Aquaphor Healing Ointment and read on to know if this helped my cracked heels.

Eucerin Aquaphor Healing Ointment

Description

The ointment comes in a easy to use tube packaging and the bigger version [100 g] comes with an elongated tip, so that you can squeeze the ointment directly on to the skin and rub/apply it with the elongated tip without getting your hands messy. I got this from USA and I wasn't sure if I could carry the bigger tube, as my luggage was almost full by then ! The ointment is an colorless thick gel that pretty much looks like petroleum jelly. Note - Active Ingredient is Petrolatum (41%). Though the tube recommends to use the ointment on minor cuts, scrapes, burns, on chapped or cracked skin and lips, I use it only on my heels. It did heal my cracks in 2-3 days but when discontinued the cracks reappeared. So I started using this on alternate days and my heels are free from cracks now ! The ointment is very greasy and after massaging it on to my skin I have to wash my hands with soap to get rid of it completely.

Verdict

A great ointment for cracked heels if you do not mind the greasiness. I really like this product as this is the only one that worked on my deep cracks. My heels have never felt this smooth and even ! I am almost done with half the tube and have asked my friends and sister living abroad to pick this up for me whenever they are visiting me next.

  1. I guess vaseline is a good replacement for this expensive ointment. Well reviewed.
